THE ladies of Cardross Golf Club enjoyed a prize-giving evening last weekend celebrating this year's sporting success.
Fifty-five members joined the event on Friday night, recognising individual firsts such as Helen Pearce with a hole-in-one, a record number of pars and the most chip-ins throughout the season, to top teamwork with Mandy Allan and Isabel Cullen winning the summer foursomes.
Attendees also paid tribute to the golfing prowess of the club's 2024 ladies champion, Lorraine Campbell, who also celebrated winning the Harper Trophy with daughter Aileen.
Mel Thomson, lady captain, said: "It was great to see so many winners collecting their prizes and illustrates what a vibrant ladies section we have here at Cardross."
Mel and the members thanked Alan Semple and the catering team on the night, adding: "It's been such a difficult year for Alan and family, but we are grateful for their support.
"We also acknowledged the work of Caroleen Clark on the Get into Golf programme over the past five years which has been a huge success, not least because of her encouragement and mentoring of ladies on their golfing journey. Thank you Caroleen!"
As 2024 draws to a close, the club is now starting to plan for the 2025 golfing season.
