Helensburgh Cricket and Rugby Club has announced the first two £200 prize winners of its new monthly club lottery.
First prize in the July draw was won by long-standing club member Ian Lawrie, while the August winner was won by another club stalwart, Alister Minnis.
The new lottery is managed by ‘Ourclublotto’, an organisation originally set up by supporters of Stenhousemuir Football Club to assist their own fund-raising efforts.
The £200 first prize and two £25 second prizes are drawn on the 15th of each month.
Club president Dave Anderson said: “We’re delighted that our first two draw winners are individuals who have supported the club over many years and were also supporters of the forerunner Ardencaple Club, which was drawn from balls out of a hat."
The new lotto has moved the draw on to a digital platform which allows the club to attract support from former players and followers of the club based anywhere in the world, and well as local residents.
Club treasurer Chris Bull added: “We are keen to increase the number of lotto players so that we can continue investment in our playing fields and clubhouse facilities.
"Our cricket team are in contention for promotion and our rugby first XV has made a very promising start to the new season with convincing wins in friendly matches against Bannockburn and Trinity Accies.”
The Ardencaple Club lotto costs £5 each month to enter and is open to anyone to play. It can be found online at draw.ourclublotto.co.uk/ardencaple.
