RHU Amateurs' Caledonian League squad continued their pre-season preparations with a 4-1 defeat at home to Dumbarton Accies on Saturday.
Gordon Brodie's men competed well against their Premier Division opponents at Ardenconnel Park before a sending-off turned the game in the visitors' favour.
Brodie's squad continue their pre-season friendly programme with a trip to Oban Saints this Saturday, August 3.
Meanwhile, Rhu's under-19s have been handed home ties in each of their three knockout cup competitions for the new season after the draws were made earlier this week.
In the Hills Solicitors Challenge Trophy the Rhu youngsters will play host to Larkhall Thistle in round one, while the West of Scotland Cup second round will see the teenages host either Dumbarton under-19s or Greenock High School FP.
The final draw, for the Hills Solicitors Cinema Cup, handed the young Rhu squad a home tie against their Cambuslang Red Star counterparts.
Finally this week, the Rhu over-35s continued their recent run of good form when they won 9-2 against local rivals The Sons.
Two goals apiece for Sinclair, Morrison and Philips along with singles from Fraser, Packham and Ward saw the Rhu veterans run out comfortable winners.
Next up for the Rhu veterans is a trip to face Glasgow On The Ball on August 9.
