ANNE KING, Veronica Bell and Liz Fraser will represent Helensburgh Bowling Club in the semi-finals of the West of Scotland Women’s Bowling Association triples next month.
The Helensburgh trio, who had defeated Eastfield BC in the last 16 of the competition, defeated Meikleriggs 16-5 in the quarter-finals at Hawkhead Bowling Club in Paisley on Monday.
They will now compete in the last four at Tulliallan on Tuesday, August 13.
However, Margaret Grant and Anne Clancy found their Inchinnan opponents too tough a nut to crack in their pairs semi-final on Monday night.
