RHU Amateurs' senior team continued their recent good form in the Football Central Over 35s League with a 3-0 win over Clyde Valley Rovers at a midge-infested Hermitage Academy on Friday night.
Hugh Ward opened the scoring following a goalless first half, with Stewart Fraser grabbing a double, the second from the penalty spot, to complete the win.
Next up for Rhu's over-35s is another home game, against Glasgow Wellington on June 28.
On the down side a bad ankle injury was picked up by Martin Beaton which will see him out of action for up to eight weeks. Everyone at the club wishes Martin a speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Friday night also featured the club's annual player of the year awards at the Rosslea Hall Hotel.
From the Colts' squad, Eamon Moy won the manager's player of the year title and Dylan Caldow the equivalent from his fellow players.
Danny Johns was named the manager's player of the year from the Caledonian League squad, with Jamie Paterson winning the players' player of the year prize.
