ARDENCAPLE FC’s new ladies’ team held Celtic Legends FFIT to a draw on Tuesday night in their first ever home match.
Two goals from Serena Galliers earned the Caple team a draw at Hermitage Academy against their Glasgow visitors (FFIT standing for Football Fans In Training), who were the host team at the Caple ladies’ first tournament, an indoor competition at the Toryglen football centre in Glasgow in March.
The result shows the progress the Caple girls are already making from their last game, a 5-1 defeat away to Cumbernauld United.
The team, which was only established earlier this year, was set up to allow ladies in the Helensburgh area to get involved in recreational football, get fit and make new friends.
To find out more about the team’s activities, and about getting involved with the club, see the ‘Ardencaple Ladies FC’ page on Facebook.
