SUSAN MATHIESON added her name to an illustrious list of winners dating back more than 125 years when she skipped her rink to victory in Cardross Curling Club's latest competition.
The Cowie Cup was first presented to the club in 1898, and victory in the final represented Susan's first as a skip, with incoming club secretary Marilyn McMeeking handing over the trophy.
While Susan's rink won all but one end, the final was much closer than the score suggested, with Susan assisted by club president Ewen Baird at Third, Alistair MacLeod playing second and Kathleen Cornwell at lead.
Congratulations all!
