HELENSBURGH man Sean Boxall won the British Civil Service Snooker Championship recently.
The competition took place on Sunday, November 17 at Longton snooker club, Stoke on Trent.
Sean beat Paul Baxter (Cleveleys) 3-2 and won four matches at Glasgow’s Q club to qualify for the last 16 at the tournament.

Sean won his first three matches in the group stage 2-0 to get to the last eight knockout, were he beat Keith Moore (Wales) 3-2 on the respotted black.
He then beat Lee Mitchell (London) 3-2 in the semi final.
Past winners of the event include ex professional players Eddie McLaughlin, Mark Miller and Les Dodd.
Sean, who was Scottish Masters (over 40) champion in 2007, learned how to play snooker in the town's St Joseph’s snooker club in the early 1980s.
