ALAN AIR took his overall tally of Helensburgh Bowling Club championship titles to a remarkable 15 with victory in both the gents’ and juniors’ tournaments.

Air now has five gents’ titles to his name, along with 10 junior crowns – making him a hard act for the next generation of young bowlers in Helensburgh to follow.

In contrast, there will be a brand new name added to the ladies’ championship roll of honour at the club after Jill Dacombe won the title for the first time.

In the club’s senior championship finals, Liz Fraser won her third ladies’ senior crown, while Joe Cameron took the honours in the men’s event.
