GLORIOUS weather greeted a large group of children and parents from Helensburgh FC 2010s on Saturday as they took on Glen Fruin in the name of charity.
The 20-strong squad - including dog Stella - walked for almost two and a half hours to help raise awareness and funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

The team have already raised more than £500 which will help buy new kit with the charity’s logo on the front.
They are well on their way to doubling that total to enable them to make a further donation direct to the charity.
Club coach David Young said: “It was a perfect day for such a beautiful walk and everyone who attended and took part can be proud of themselves, especially the youngsters.

“On behalf of all involved with the team I’d like to thank everyone who has contributed so far - every donation will make a difference and help other children and their families when they need it most.”
The club is planning further fundraising events this season. Any donations can be made via justgiving.com/crowdfunding/david-young-544.
