GARELOCHHEAD Bowling Club’s gents were celebrating this week after securing their second Gareloch Bowling Association league title in the last three years.
The club went through a major reconstruction of league selectors which saw Allan Roy and Alan Fleming determined to bring success back to the village bowling green – and the players’ willingness to win was reflected in the results achieved during the course of the season, a memorable outcome for one of the area’s smaller bowling clubs.
The team’s league victory was also a fantastic achievement for club president, Kevin Leishman, in his first year in the role.
He said: “A big thank you to all the selectors and players involved for making this fantastic achievement possible.
“As we say in our club, and around the district: Mon the Heid!”
