Helensburgh Hockey Club teamed up with Loch Lomond Hockey Club again this year to host their annual Helensburgh and Loch Lomond Hockey Fling last weekend - and what a success it was.
After the popularity of the inaugural competition last year, arranging a second was a no-brainer - and the fact this one, too, was a hit suggests that there might be even more to come in 2020.
Teams from Dundee, Oban and Glasgow all attended the festival with plenty of exciting hockey on display.
The festival started on Friday night when teams arrived for a meet and greet at Helensburgh Rugby Club before the hockey started the next morning.

Games were held at the Rugby Club as well as Lomond School pitches, on a mixture of astroturf and grass pitches.
The matches got under way at 10am with all teams involved in some competitive but enjoyable hockey.
A barbecue was provided by the Rugby Club and the teams were kept happy with a bungee run there for their amusement.
Things got exciting as the day wore on as a thunderstorm broke in spectacular fashion in the skies above Helensburgh.

Already soaked from the weather, the teams continued to play on during the thunder and lightning, proving that hockey really is an all-weather sport.
The finals came round near 4pm with Dundee Wanderers taking on the ‘Wimbledummies’ fromGiffnock HC in the final; Dundee ran out 3-0 winners in an exciting game watched by the rest of the crowds.
After the hockey was over, the teams were allowed time to dry off before the ceilidh started on Saturday night.
The Reel Good Ceilidh Band made sure that everyone was exhausted, even if a day of hockey wasn’t enough, by throwing participants around the dance floor.

The evening ended with a disco before a few sore heads woke for breakfast the next day!
A spokesman for the organisers said: “We would like to offer a huge thanks to Helensburgh Rugby Club who hosted both our evening socials, as well as allowing us use of the pitch and sorting us with food for the weekend.
“Thanks also to Lomond School for the use of the astroturf.
“A big thanks to Anderson Engineering for the use of a generator as well as to Babcock Clyde for sponsoring the event.”
