ANNETTE CHRISTIE was the standout performer at Helensburgh Bowling Club's championship finals - reaching no fewer than six singles and pairs finals.
Annette started her run of finals against Muriel Galt, a previous champion, and raced into a significant lead before comfortably securing her fifth championship win at the club.
In the gents' championship final Iain MacDonald faced Alan Air, with Alan also securing his fifth championship win.
The ladies' senior championship paired Annette Christie and Liz Fraser. This tense clash came down to the last bowl with Liz holding her nerve to take the trophy.
The gents' senior championship paired two seasoned members when Robin Cavana came up against Hugh Murray. Robin started well and never looked back in his fourth senior championship win.
Andrew Sneddon and Iain MacDonald met up in the gents' president's final in another thrilling encounter.
In a seesaw tie, Iain took control in the final ends to claim the silverware.
Father and son George and Andrew Sneddon battled it out in the Muirhead Trophy final. In a high class final George proved that experience can better youth, putting his name on the trophy for the 11th time.
In the ladies' captain’s final Margaret Grant faced Roberta Lees. Roberta was dominant on the day and strolled to a win in her first year as a member.
Ian McGlashan faced Ed Claisse in the gents' captain’s final. In another thrilling tie which saw both players exchenge the lead, Ian proved stronger in the closing ends to win his first singles trophy at the club.
