The event is sponsored by Sadie Montgomery and family, in memory of her late husband Jack and the tough competition proved to be a fitting tribute to the late Jack.

The games were played in one section on a round robin basis with the teams playing each other with each game being played over five ends.

There was little to separate the leading teams going into the final game however, when, the game was completed there was a clear winner in the pairing of Veronica Bell BEM and Patricia McCallan who finished on a total of seven points. The next nearest team was Jenifer Jones and Marion McClenaghan, skip, who finished with five points.
