THERE are a busy three days of festive activities set for the peninsula this weekend.
From fairs to a Christmas dash, there are events for all ages - and shoppers - looking for gift ideas or even just yummy treats to warm the stomach and heart.
On Friday, December 6 from 1.45pm to 3.45pm, Kilcreggan Primary is welcoming everyone to their Christmas Fair, including crafts, music, treats and more.
Rosneath St Modan's Church grounds are playing host to a Christmas celebration on Friday, December 6 from 6pm to 8pm. It will include a light show, tea and coffee, Santa gifts for young ones and market stalls.
Elmbank House in Clynder is hosting a Christmas Fair on December 6, 7 and 8 in aid of Help for Heroes. Stalls include ceramics, fine art, jewellery, embroidery, children's books and more.
Castle Isle Bar and Restaurant are hosting their own Christmas fair on December 7 from 11am to 3pm. On Sunday, December 8 at 1pm, there is a Christmas Dash for Cove and Kilcreggan Youth Cafe. The 1.2-mile race is £1 entry and will include karaoke, soup, prizes, mulled wine, raffles, games and more. Everyone is asked to wear Christmas clothes.
One of the promoters of events in the area told the Advertiser: "It's wonderful to have so many events happening throughout the weekend.
"It gives locals and visitors the opportunity not only to do some Christmas shopping, but also to check out all the local eateries in beautiful surroundings.
"Three days of different events provides a perfect outlet for all the talented artisans on the peninsula. With so much local talent you are guaranteed to find that exquisite and unique hand crafted gift for Christmas."
