FREE festive parking in council-run car parks has been confirmed in the run-up to Christmas.
All off-street pay and display parking will be free of charge across Argyll and Bute from December 11-24 inclusive.
The move is part of ongoing measures from Argyll and Bute Council to support local businesses, communities and the economy.
Councillor John Armour, policy lead for roads, transport and amenity services, said: “We want to make it easier for folk to make the most of what our local shops have to offer – whether it's gifts for the family or fantastic festive food.
“Our local independent businesses play a key role in providing employment and supporting the local economy. By providing free parking at this key time, we hope residents will continue to show their support and shop locally.
“We also recognise it can be a tough financial time for many, so we’re happy to make it as easy as possible for people to take advantage of everything that’s on offer in our towns.”
More information about local car parks and parking is available on the council website.
