A CONFECTIONERY business is opening a new shop in Helensburgh this weekend.
McCandlish Farmhouse Confectionery will be opening up their new premises on West Princes Street from Saturday, December 7.
The family business, which is opening in the former Helensburgh Tech and Hardware store, is home of "world-famous products" such as Creamola Foam, Chelsea Whoppers, Scottish Tablet, Macaroon and MB Bars.
Currently run by daughter Agnes and son Andrew of the late founder Allan McCandlish, it is the 3rd and 4th generation of confectioners and chocolatiers continuing their family tradition.

To celebrate the grand opening of their first shop, they are running a giveaway for Helensburgh customers.
There will be a main prize of £50 worth of goods as first prize and three runner ups will receive £25 worth of goods.
This can be used to buy any of their handmade Scottish confectionery, chocolates, chocolate novelty shapes or goods from the bakery.
