The event went ahead despite the snow and rain of Storm Bert, but was hailed a success by the Helensburgh Festive Lighting Charitable Trust.
Isa Mackinnon had the honour of turning on the lights as the last gift of her 100th birthday.
Vivien Dance, of the Trust, said Argyll and Bute Council and many volunteers deserved thanks for their "mitigation plan" for Saturday.

"We could not have succeeded with the event without your help," she said of the 15th switch-on - and their most challenging.
Entertainment was organised by Donna Hicks and compered by James McCracken. LCI Dance Centre, Helensburgh Savoy, Bethesda Fellowship and the Baptist Church, all took part, along with Nyah Anderson Music and Urbaniks.
Together with resident teenagers dressed as well-known characters on stage, Scottish Fire and Rescue Heritage Trust brought Santa to Colquhoun Square, while Isa arrived in Rory McKinley's Aston Martin Rapide.

The crowd sang happy birthday to Isa before she lit the square for the season, capping off her celebrations.
Organisers also thanked Helensburgh First Aiders Keith Shipman and Sid McIlroy.
Vivien added: "Another record set this year was the age range on the stage was from two and a half years to 100.

"As the fairground rides filled up, Santa waved goodbye and headed off back to the north pole. He said that he loved coming to Helensburgh, it was the highlight of his year, and he was delighted that the community had once again organised a great switch on and that so many people had been involved in making it happen for children of all ages."
