HOUSEHOLDS in Helensburgh have been given an update on a missed bin collection.
Argyll and Bute Council has announced that blue bins collections are to take place on the next scheduled collection date due to a vehicle breakdown.
However, they have said that all excess recycling can be collected and have asked people to place any additional waste in a box next to their bin on the morning of their next collection.
A spokesperson said: "Due to a vehicle breakdown we are unable to collect blue bins in Helensburgh this week.
"Collections will now take place on your next scheduled collection date. To assist with any inconvenience, we will also collect any excess recycling.
"Please place additional waste in a box next to your blue bin on the morning of your next collection.
"We apologise for any inconvenience."
