A POPULAR TV adventurer paid a surprise visit to a pub in Garelochhead earlier this week.
Award-winning TV host and author Bear Grylls stopped in at The Anchor Inn for his dinner on Tuesday night.
The Main Road venue's owner and staff said it was a 'pleasure' to welcome the former SAS trooper and hope he will back again soon.
They said on social media: "A very special thank you to Bear Grylls for stopping into the Anchor Inn for dinner tonight, it was a pleasure to have you! Hope to see you again soon."
It is believed that the writer and survival expert is presenting a cooking course at Faslane today.
Bear Grylls is best known for pushing himself to the limits, both mentally and physically, from his early days in 21 SAS to becoming one of the youngest ever people to climb Mount Everest.
Earlier this year, the popular adventurer held a show in Glasgow's SEC Armadillo as part of his UK tour.
Never Give Up featured unseen and hair-raising images as well as remarkable behind-the-scenes videos that told the story of a man who 'never gives up'.
