A RECENT choral concert wowed more than 200 people with beautiful classics.
Helensburgh Oratorio Choir performed Mozart's Requiem and Bruckner’s Te Deum at the town's Parish Church this month.
It was the first concert for several new choir members, including 18-year-old Ben Miller, who is the group's choral bursary programme recipient.
He said he enjoyed singing for a live audience - and recommended other young musicians consider applying to the scheme.
Chair Alicia Tindal said: “A big thank you to everyone who came out and supported the choir. It was a most enjoyable evening, with excellent performances by the four soloists and accompaniment by Derek Clark on the organ.
“This was the first time the choir have performed on our new staging which was part funded by the National Lottery. The staging proved much easier to build and dismantle, so our thanks to them."
Rehearsals have already started for the choir's next concert in March 2025 - and new members are always welcome to join the more than 70 singers in the group.
They rehearse on Tuesdays at the church hall from 7.45pm. Visit www.helensburghoratorio.co.uk for more information.
