TOUCHING tributes have been paid to a former Helensburgh charity worker following her death.
Carolann Cameron, who worked in the town's Dementia Resource Centre office, passed away last month.
Being a prominent member of the community "with the biggest heart" she never failed to leave a smile wherever she went.
And comedian Gary Meikle - who Carolann was a huge fan of - dedicated his Helensburgh show on November 14 to her to celebrate the amazing woman.
He raised £200 from his meet and greets which he said he will donate to Alzheimer Scotland.
In a statement online he said: "Dedicated tonight’s show in Helensburgh to this wee amazing woman Carolann Cameron who sadly passed a few weeks ago.
"Carolann never missed any of my shows and she’d constantly post funny stuff on my page that not only made me laugh but many others who saw her comments. So many people have told me nice stories about her tonight. She was clearly a well loved woman.
"Carolann worked for the dementia resource office. I collected £115 in donations at tonight’s meet and greet which I’ll bump up to £200 and donate to their charity.
"Massive thanks to everyone that came along tonight, what a show to celebrate her it was, see you all next year.
"RIP Carolann, wherever you are I know you’ll be making others around you laugh, big hugs coming at ya pal."
Anne Marie-King, centre manager for Helensburgh's Dementia Resource Centre, said the team were "deeply saddened by the tragic passing" of their colleague.
She said: "Carolann was a much-loved member of the Helensburgh community and will be profoundly missed by so many.
"Alzheimer Scotland was a charity close to Carolann’s heart, and we know she would have been deeply touched by the dedication of Gary’s show and the generous donations made in her name.
"These contributions will truly make a difference to those living with dementia.
"Our thoughts are with Carolann’s family, friends, and loved ones."
Save the Tower Arts Centre said: "We are all deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of our wonderful friend Carolann 'Wee Carol' Cameron.
"Carolann was a great support to us all at The Tower and a fabulous ambassador. She always had a cheery smile and we loved her warmth and no-nonsense approach to life.
"She was excited about the future of The Tower and full of terrific ideas. We will all miss her very much and our deepest condolences go out to her family and friends."
And tributes have also flooded in from people who shared their fondest memories of the hard-working woman.
One said: "She was such a lovely woman, with the biggest heart. I’ve had the privilege of meeting Carolann a few times when she attended spiritual demonstrations.
"A loss to the community, but she will be up there watching over all of us."
Another added: "That brought a tear to my eyes, I worked with Carolann at O2 years ago - she had some sense of humour and was an all round genuine amazing, caring lady. Amazing that you dedicated a show in her memory - she'd have loved that."
A third said: "This is so lovely, she was such a lovely woman. We worked together at O2 and remained pals after wards she was always bubbly and will be missed."
