A MAN allegedly failed to stop and report a road accident near a train station, police say.

The 44-year-old from Glasgow was reportedly spotted driving his car in a careless manner near Cardross train station at around 10pm on November 15.

Police say he was found to have no valid policy of insurance or MOT after he failed to stop and report the accident.

He was reported to the procurator fiscal for the alleged offences. However, the man wasn't the only driver police caught without a valid MOT last week.

The following evening, a 32-year-old man from Helensburgh was issued with a conditional offer for driving his car without an MOT on East Princes Street at around 8.55pm.
