FILM enthusiasts are answering the call to support efforts to save the Tower Cinema in Helensburgh.
Campaigners recruited 50 new voting members in just 24 hours as they put out a plea ahead of submitting a Scottish Land Fund application.
They had 39 members as of Monday from within the area covered by Helensburgh Community Council. But they needed more to show the level of buy-in from the area.
They are now aiming to reach 150 members by Friday.
Campaigners set up The Venue @ Saint Columba as a limited company to purchase the Tower on behalf of the community.
Donna Hicks, with the team, said: "The Scottish Land Fund has indicated that they’d like to see an increased number of our membership.

"This is different from any kind of loyalty or ‘friends of The Tower’ scheme which will be set up for people to join.
"The company membership will allow members to have voting rights and be involved in the running of the facility.
"To become a member is easy and doesn’t involve any cost or big time commitment. The form takes around two minutes to complete."
The form can be found at the Save the Tower Facebook page.
They are also running a Bandwidth fundraiser taking place on Friday evening. There are still tickets available to the live music from The Renaissance, Radhika, Lost in Translation and Miriam.
Doors open from 7.30pm and tickets cost £8, available on Eventbrite.
