AN EXTRA beach clean has been organised for Helensburgh to help recover from recent stormy weather.
Helensburgh Community Council in conjunction with Plastic Free Helensburgh are aiming to tidy the waterfront ahead of upcoming Christmas celebrations.
Organisers have arranged two skips to fill and a tractor to help.
They told the Advertiser: "Hopefully we can remove the rubbish from the beach and promenade before it gets washed back to sea. Litterpickers provided, wear waterproof boots and bring gloves if you have them."
If you can spare even half an hour, the clean-up operation will be in full swing down at Helensburgh Pier from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, November 16.
The town will soon be welcoming visitors and residents alike for the annual Christmas lights switch-on and Winter Festival.
