THE charitable trust that runs Helensburgh Leisure Centre and the town's library, as well as countless other educational programmes and community events across the area, is inviting the public to nominate their favourite staff and volunteers.
Nominations close in less than two weeks' time for liveArgyll's inaugural Excellence in Action awards, recognising those who work within the organisation.
Established in 2017, liveArgyll is highlighting how each of its services - from leisure and fitness, libraries and community learning to behind-the-scenes support and Active Schools - makes a difference and why each team member deserves to be celebrated.
A spokesperson said: "From swimming pools and gyms to fitness classes, liveArgyll staff create a welcoming environment for members to pursue their fitness goals.
"Behind each workout, there’s a team member providing expert guidance, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.
"The library team go beyond traditional services by offering digital resources, community programmes, and book clubs, while the events team consistently delivers a wide range of cultural, educational, and entertainment events that bring people together and add excitement to the community calendar.
"Coaches, organisers, and volunteers with the Active Schools programme collaborate with schools and groups to provide fun, engaging activities that inspire a lifelong love of movement, and community learning programmes help residents develop new skills and gain confidence.
"None of liveArgyll’s achievements would be possible without the dedicated support staff who work behind the scenes. Administrative personnel, IT support, maintenance teams, and other key members are often the unsung heroes who keep operations running smoothly, ensuring every liveArgyll location is safe, functional, and welcoming.
"If you know a liveArgyll team member who exemplifies dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment, now is the time to recognise their efforts."
Nominations for the awards close on November 20. To make your choice, visit liveargyll.co.uk/excellence-in-action/ to submit a nomination.
