EXCITEMENT has set in as work has started on the spectacular Christmas light display in Helensburgh town centre.
Helensburgh Festive Lighting Charitable Trust will be busy throughout November getting ready for the big switch-on.
Each year the community organisation have to raise £8,500 to fund the installation, repair and removal of the festive lights.
The charity's 'elves' will be busy volunteering their time and effort to ensure the stunning creation of "Christmas Town" brings joy to all ages.

The switch-on event runs from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, November 23 in Colquhoun Square, with the lights being switched on between 4.30pm and 5pm.
There will be live music on stage from 12noon, community music and dance, carol singing from local churches and much more.
A spokesperson from the group said: "The elves began the task of installing all the lights for 2024 on Saturday and by the end of this week they hope to have installed all the lamppost features and completed the seafront halos.
"Great team work and lots of good fun so let's get the town ready to welcome Santa Claus."
