The successful event, which took place at United Reformed Church in West Princes Street on Saturday, October 26, saw a room full of people gather to back the organisation.

And the RNLI quiz was back plus plenty of tea and coffee on offer as well as home baking.

Katy Finlay, secretary of the Helensburgh fundraising committee, said: “We were delighted with the response to our street collection and coffee morning which raised an amazing £2,500 for Helensburgh lifeboat and crew.
"We are extremely grateful to everyone who came along on the day.
"If you are still looking for Christmas cards they will be available at The Olde Christmas Shoppe in Helensburgh.”

The lifeboat has been called out 51 times so far this year, and more than 2,000 times since the station was founded in 1965.
