A MAN has been charged in connection with an alleged serious assault in Helensburgh.
Enquiries are continuing after a 35-year-old male was allegedly attacked at a property on the town's Ben Bouie Drive, and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Scotland said he was later discharged and a 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on November 4.
A spokesperson said: "Around 6.35am on Friday, November 1, we received a report of the serious assault of a 35-year-old man at a premises on Ben Bouie Drive, Helensburgh.
“Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.
“A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on November 4.”
