A FREE film will be showing at The Tower in Helensburgh soon as part of a national tour to encourage audiences into cinemas.
The Escapes project is supported by the BFI and National Lottery funding to introduce independent cinema to new viewers.
Their latest film is Layla, described as a "daring yet tender romance set in and around East London’s iconic drag clubs".
It will be previewed across 150 independent cinemas in the UK on November 11, with tickets now on sale.
The filmmakers said: "Layla is a struggling Arab drag queen whose confident façade hides their desperate desire for love.
"When their performance at a belittling corporate Pride event turns into a transgressive takedown, they are surprised to catch the eye of marketing executive Max, whose attentions sweep Layla off their feet.
"But as Layla starts to alter who they are in order to keep Max’s interest, they both must face uncomfortable truths."
