Emergency services including Helensburgh's lifeboat rushed to Gourock after receiving a report of an individual in the water by the ferry terminal at McInroy's Point at around 9.05am on Tuesday.

The person was rescued by a police rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RHIB) before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
