People are invited to put their Santa hats on and take part in an annual Christmas-themed fun run returning next month.

Helensburgh HEART's (formerly Helensburgh and District Roundtable) popular Santa Dash will see locals don their Santa costumes and run 4K throughout the town on Saturday, November 30 at 11am.

The event is volunteer led with profits supporting local causes such as foodbanks and children’s groups within Helensburgh and Lomond.

The route will have participants run on pavements with volunteer marshals at each crossing point.

All registered runners will receive a free Santa hat and wristband which they can collect in Colquhoun Square on the day.

Upon finishing, runners will receive a goody bag when they show their wristband.

The Santa Dash will be the opening event of the Helensburgh Winter Festival which will take place across Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1.

Locals will be able to enjoy street food and music, and browse stalls from local businesses and crafters.

Early bird entry costs £5 for adults and £2.50 for children under 16.
