Halloween is set to rock the village of Garelochhead once again this weekend.

The annual Halloween Rocks community event takes place this Sunday, October 24, from 10am until 12 noon.

Youth volunteers from the Route 81 Youth Project, based at the village's Centre 81, have been working hard earning Saltire Volunteer hours repainting and creating new stones for this event.

More than 500 stones will be hidden around Garelochhead and anyone can go searching for up to three stones per person.

The stones can then be returned to Centre 81 and each stone exchanged for a treat.

A rough map of where the stones are hidden will be put on the Route 81 Youth Project's Facebook page prior to the event.

There will also be a fantastic community event taking place with a bouncy castle, a Halloween craft table and hot dogs to refuel.

The event is totally free, apart from a small charge of £1 for hot dogs.

Halloween Rocks is a partnership between Route 81 Youth Project, Centre 81 Community Centre and Helensburgh and Lomond Young Carers.

And that's not all, because Centre 81 is taking it a step further this year with a range of spooky and sustainable Halloween costumes available to the community!

A spokesperson for the project said: "Halloween costumes can cost a lot of money, change every year and also add to landfill.

"Centre 81 have a range of costumes and accessories in various sizes. Pop in to collect a costume for your wee ones, or why not bring in costumes you no longer need, take something you would like and, if possible, make a donation to the Centre 81 Garelochhead charity which will be used for children's activities."

Costumes will be located in the centre's small entrance hall so you can pop in for a browse even while sessions are running.
