THE Helensburgh lifeboat’s fundraising team is looking forward to welcoming everyone to their autumn coffee morning this weekend.
The event takes place on Saturday, October 26, from 10am to 12.30pm at the United Reformed Church in West Princes Street.
Katy Finlay, Secretary of the Fundraising Committee said,” We have been overwhelmed by the support from the local businesses and shops.
"We have some fantastic raffle prizes. Top prizes include a family ticket for Cruise Loch Lomond, Rayban sunglasses from 20;20 opticians and some amazing vouchers for shops in Helensburgh and the surrounding area.
"Our luxury Christmas hampers are full of goodies for the festive season.
"A huge thank you to everyone for their support.
"We also have our new stock of Christmas cards and calendars as well as gifts for all the family. We hope to see as many people as possible on Saturday.”
There will be several stalls including pre-loved jigsaws, family games for all ages and a selection of cookery books. The RNLI quiz is also back and there will be plenty of tea and coffee as well as home baking.
The money raised from the coffee morning helps support our crew to save lives at sea.
The lifeboat has been called out 51 times so far this year, and more than 2,000 times since the station was founded in 1965.
