THE iconic PS Waverley has returned to the Clyde coast following a mammoth 70-hour voyage from London.
The paddle steamer is back at its berth in Glasgow ahead of its final sailings of the year this weekend.
At a distance of 886 nautical miles Waverley’s end of season light passage with just crew is her longest of the year.
The vessel took on fuel at Gravesend and Fishguard with a London to Glasgow steaming time of just under 70 hours.
Waverley will be berthed in Glasgow until Saturday, October 19 when she will be sailing to Greenock, Kilcreggan, Dunoon and up Loch Long to Arrochar.
