WARNINGS have been handed out by police in Helensburgh over the past week for drugs and other crimes.

Officers in the town said they had given a 48-year-old man a warning for wasting their time in Dennistoun Crescent, Helensburgh, at 5.25pm on October 10.

The man was from Clydebank.

The day before, a 16-year-old boy from Helensburgh was given a recorded police warning for possession of cannabis. This happened in the town's MacLachlan Road, at about 3pm on October 9.

Police said they also warned an 18-year-old man from the town for failing to comply with a drug search near West Clyde Street just after midnight on October 13.
