TWO of Scotland’s most exciting live acts are set to perform an intimate show in Helensburgh next month.
Ru Mac, who has previously performed with three-piece Stornoway band Peat and Diesel at the Victoria Halls, will return to the town on Friday, November 22, accompanied by Inverclyde's all-female duo The Laurettes.
Known for his dynamic performances as a one-man band, Ru Mac creates an experience rivalling that of a full stadium band. Fans are said to be in for a thrilling evening filled with his trademark energy and crowd interaction.
Making their Helensburgh debut, The Laurettes are bringing their indie folk fusion sound to the town for the first time. The pair have become a festival favourite across the UK, known for getting the party started with infectious energy and unforgettable performances.
They’ve shared stages with Scottish music giants such as Skerryvore, Trail West, and Peat and Diesel.
The setting for the upcoming show, Peckham's Old Court Room, offers a special, intimate atmosphere perfect for fans looking to get up close with the artists.
As part of their joint headline winter tour, The Laurettes and Ru Mac will be performing in a ‘Rulette’ style - where the opening act is decided on the night, keeping fans on their toes.
Looking ahead to the gig, Lynette Beaton from The Laurettes said: “We’re super excited to be bringing our winter tour to Helensburgh.
"We’ve been getting a lot of messages asking us to play in the town, and Peckham’s is the perfect venue for a stripped-back show next month.
"Tickets are flying, and it’s an intimate venue, so we’re expecting a full house!”
Both acts have been attracting national attention and now with their debut albums launched - The Bloody Box from Ru Mac, and Meet Me at The MainStage from The Laurettes - fans are in for a night to remember.
With festival appearances across the country, and performances at iconic venues such as The Barrowlands, Belladrum’s Main Stage, and Sony Hall in New York, it will be a rare chance to see the acclaimed artists in a smaller setting.
Tickets are on sale now via Skiddle; over-14s only.
