AURORA borealis danced across the night sky above Helensburgh and Lomond last night - and our readers were quick to share their amazing photos of the phenomena.

The natural light display, producing dynamic patterns of brilliant colours, could be seen from hills and home gardens in Helensburgh and on the peninsula late on Thursday, October 10.
