THREE talented Helensburgh girls will make their debut performance on the theatre stage in Glasgow for the Christmas pantomime.
Nine year-old's Robyn Lawes, Aoife Sutherland and Lola Bell all went out of their comfort zone and auditioned for a part in this year's Wizard of Oz panto .
The girls, who all attend St Joseph's Primary School and dance at the town's Studio 30, were delighted to be chosen after 400 dancers, singers and actors auditioned for roles in the popular production.
Robyn's mum Amy told the Advertiser: "When we got the news that all three of them had been cast we were all delighted.
"All three girls auditioned together, all were given parts in the show and will perform on the big stage together as part of the same cast.
She continued: "I am over the moon for Robyn. Up until recently she has always faced confidence barriers, and until not long ago wouldn't have been confident enough to even attend an audition of this magnitude.
"So for her to go all the way and be cast in the show is an incredible achievement for her. I'm so unbelievably proud of what she has achieved.
"I must give special thanks to her teachers and coaches at Studio 30 who have helped build her confidence and shape her into the strong, confident performer she is today."
Lola and Aoife will be playing the role of munchkins and Robyn will be a flying monkey in the production organised by the Theatre School of Scotland.
The proud mums have all thanked the West King Street dance and gymnastics school for continually building their confidence.
Lola's mum Gemma added: "I am so proud of Lola gaining a part in the panto. It’s a massive achievement for her.
"I can’t wait to see her shine on the stage. She loves performing and she is very determined and dedicated.
"Lola used to be very shy until she found dancing. Her confidence has grown and her skills have developed with the help from her dance teachers at Studio 30.
"Special thanks to them for all their hard work and dedication. Roll on panto season."
And Aoife's mum Lindsay said: "We were delighted when we received the news that Aoife’s audition was successful. It was made even more special when her dance buddies got the same news .
"She began at the age of two and half at Studio 30’s pre -school ballet class with Moe teaching followed shortly afterwards with gymnastics at three .
"Aoife has always shown strong flexibility, coordination and maturity from a very young age. She's a very determined young athlete."
She added: "She works hard and is going from strength to strength in all her classes.
"She competes in lyrical, hip-hop, mini Pom and was recently successful in youth Pom with her being one of the youngest in her team.
"Leanne who owns studio 30 sent out the details for auditions and after a chat with Aoife she wanted to try something new out of her comfort zone.
"Aoife loves a challenge. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for her as she was born to dance."
The girls will be performing in the evenings shows on December 19 and 21. They will also be in both the afternoon and evening shows on December 22 and 23.
