A LEADING dementia charity is inviting people in Helensburgh and Lomond to an information session about their dog project next week.
The Dementia Dog Project is an innovative partnership between Alzheimer Scotland and Dogs for Good which sees trained assistance dogs matched to live with families where a person is at an early stage of their dementia journey.
The session will take place at Helensburgh Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre on Wednesday, October 9.
The event, which runs from 1.30-3.30pm, will show how the project's assistance dogs can offer practical and social support.
Professionals who are working with families who are living with dementia are also welcome to get in touch.
To book a place, people are asked to contact Anne-Marie at aking@alzscot.org or call 07588531288.
