NEARLY two dozen road traffic offences were detected in the past week, according to police.
A number of speeders were caught along with careless driving, no MOT and other incidents from drivers from Helensburgh and Lomond and much further afield.
Police Scotland said they issued a number of fixed penalty notices (FPN) for breaking the 30mph speed limit on the A83 near Tarbet.
On September 23, a 32-year-old man from Glasgow was caught driving at 43mph at 5.30pm.
Within 20 minutes, a 48-year-old man from Edinburgh was clocked at 46mph at the same spot.
Then a 63-year-old man from Ballymoney was driving at 43mph around 6.18pm. A few minutes later, another 63-year-old, this time from Alexandria, was caught at 45mph.
At the same spot the next day, a 49-year-old from the Inveraray area was given a FPN for careless driving at 3.37pm.
A few minutes later, a 27-year-old from East Kilbride was caught speeding there at 45mph.
And an 86-year-old man from Auchterarder was clocked driving at 45mph at 4.32pm that day.
A 53-year-old man from Dunoon was fined for not having an MOT at the same spot around 3.55pm on September 25.
On September 28, a 58-year-old man from Lochgilphead was given a FPN for not having an MOT at the same spot on the A83.
On Monday, a 28-year-old from Johnstone was stopped for driving at 42mph at 7.58am. A few minutes later, it was the turn of a 42-year-old from Glasgow to be caught at 44mph, followed by a 29-year-old woman from Paisley at 51mph.
And then just before 9am, a fourth person, a 20-year-old man from Strathaven, was caught doing 42mph there.
Other parts of the region also warranted police attention.
A 42-year-old from Helensburgh was given a FPN for driving at 43mph in a 30mph zone on the B833 Rosneath Road in Garelochhead around 6.10pm on September 23.
On the A82 Arden on Loch Lomond on September 25, a 49-year-old man from the town was fined for not having an MOT. The incident happened at 3.20pm.
In a separate incident, a 40-year-old man from Leicester has been reported to the procurator fiscal for an incident at 3.55pm on September 25. He allegedly drove a van without an MOT or valid licence. The vehicle, near to Firkin Point, A82, Tarbet, was seized.
A 70-year-old woman from Helensburgh has been reported for allegedly driving without a licence near the town's Old Luss Road. Police said this happened at 5.51pm on September 25.
Speeders were given fines on the A814 Gareloch Road in Rhu as well on September 25.
A 49-year-old man from Maybole was stopped at 43mph in a 30mph area around 6.40pm.
Then a 36-year-old man from Ashfield was clocked at 53mph there at 7.22pm.
On Saturday, September 28, a 43-year-old man from Bothwell was given a vehicle defect form for driving with the wrong registration plate at the A82 in Tarbet around 10.15am.
And finally, a 68-year-old woman from Cardross has been reported to the procurator fiscal for alleged drink driving near James Street, Helensburgh. Police said the incident happened around 5.10pm on Sunday.
