THE latest round of Argyll and Bute Council’s strategic events and festivals fund opens for applications next month.

In recognition of the significant economic stimulus that events held in Argyll and Bute bring to the local area, the council is offering the money to support event organisers in adding value to their event, and to increase its resilience, sustainability, and growth. The fund is open to events taking place between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026.

Council leader, Councillor Jim Lynch, said: “Events and festivals are very popular in Argyll and Bute and play a vital part in attracting tourists to the area.

“The strategic events and festivals fund is always very popular, so I would encourage as many event organisers as possible to bid for this funding, particularly for events that will ideally draw in visitors from out with Argyll and Bute - from Scotland, the rest of the UK and overseas.”

As in previous years, event organisers should apply online at argyll-bute.gov.uk/strategic-events-and-festivals-fund.

The maximum amount that can be applied for is £30,000.

The application process is open from Monday, October 7 until Monday, November 18 at 12 noon.
