AN ARGYLL event showcasing artists and makers on the Cowal Peninsula has ended with great success.

Cowal Open Studios attracted visitors from places such as Glasgow, Bute, Linlithgow and Falkirk to come and see the artwork.

The four-day event happens every year, and ran from Friday, September 20, until Monday, September 23.

Jenny Phillips, Cowal Open Studios artist, said: “It was definitely one of the best attended Cowal Open Studios' weekends yet with feedback from our members reflecting that. A big thank you to all the artists who opened up their studios and everyone who engaged with the event.”

Karen Komurcu, Sandbank-based printmaker, said: “It was a very well attended few days. We even had visitors from St Albans in the south of England.

"Everyone loved the variety of artists taking part and were interested in chatting to us about our subjects and techniques. I can’t wait until the 2025 weekend comes around.”
