POLICE say they have recovered a boat that was stolen from Loch Lomond - but enquiries are continuing to trace those responsible for the theft.

Officers said the vessel was taken during the night of Thursday, September 19, and sailed out of Loch Lomond Marina in Balloch and onto the loch.

Detective Colin Nichol said: "We would like to thank the public for their help in tracing the boat after we issued our appeal.

"Our investigation into the theft is ongoing and we ask that anyone with any information contacts us as soon as possible."
