A HELENSBURGH singer who has been compared to James Taylor is running a workshop in the town this weekend.
Renowned guitarist and singer-songwriter Mark Neal will share his knowledge during a traditional music event at Helensburgh Baptist Church Hall on Sunday, September 22 from 2pm to 4pm.
The workshop, which is open to all chord players of intermediate level and above, will look into keys, chords and structure in traditional music, techniques and theory for expanding chord selection and rhythms for different types of tunes and songs.
Mark has been working as a professional musician for more than 20 years, performing, recording and teaching.
He has recorded with various artists but recently released his first solo album ‘Cool Waters.’
The workshop is pay as you can and while the workshop is open to all ages, under 16s must be accompanied by a guardian.
To book a place email helensburghtradsession@yahoo.com and state which instrument you will be playing.
