THE Cove and Kilcreggan Real Ale Festival returns next weekend.
Celebrating the popular event's 21st birthday, visitors will be offered a variety of ales and ciders - including four Scottish ciders - at Cove Burgh Hall in the village on Saturday, September 28.
Live music - and hopefully good weather - will make the festival fun for all who attend between 12 noon and 8pm.
Food will be provided by Café @Kilcreggan – with a selection of burgers (including veggie), hot dogs, filled rolls and hog roast – and Fra Pizza’s wood-fired pizza oven, serving pizzas with a choice of toppings.
There will also be a children’s area, selling sweets and fizzy drinks, and by donation tea, coffee, and local baking. Wine and soft drinks are also available and there will be a great selection of raffle prizes too.
Admission to the festival is £12, which includes a festival glass, tasting menu, and two tokens (covering a pint or glass of wine). Tokens cost £2 each, and a pint or a glass of wine costs two tokens; half-pints are one token.
Book online at coveburghhall.org.uk/whats-on and click on ‘Real Ale Festival 2024’.
Buses leave Helensburgh on the hour, and Gourock and Dunoon ferry timetables are online at calmac.co.uk.
