Loch Lomond campaigners have made a final stand ahead of the decision on whether the controversial Flamingo Land proposals will go ahead.

Save Loch Lomond group has gathered outside Lomond Parish Church where a decision on the fate of the £40m Flamingo Land plans lies.

They are joined by Ross Greer MSP.

(Image: Colin Mearns) It is likely the meeting will take several hours but it kicked off at 1.15pm.

The protestors smiled upon Greer's arrival as he has closely tied himself with the group as his party, the Scottish Greens, have adamantly opposed the plans.

Lynne Somerville of Balloch and Haldane Community Council (Image: Colin Mearns) A petition started by the Greens has gathered over 150,000 signatures objecting to the plans.

The meeting today will hear from representatives of the group and organisations who have submitted a form to speak.

Jackie Baillie MSP (Image: Colin Mearns) Seats are being filled quickly with members of the public invited to take their seat at 11.30am.
