A BLACK cat that was found in a skip in Rhu has been reunited with its owners.
The long-haired cat was found on Station Road two weeks ago looking for food scraps in sandwich wrappings.
The lost cat, who had been missing for four months, has returned to his home in Cardross after the Advertiser helped share an appeal.
His description had been posted on the 'Lost Pets Helensburgh' Facebook page and posters have been put up in various places across the town, but nobody had come forward to claim him until the owners saw the appeal on the Advertiser's Facebook page.
Fiona Baker said: "I am absolutely delighted we have been able to find his home and of course his owner is over the moon.
"She had given up hope as he is an old cat and she thought he might have gone off to die in a quiet place."
