A POPULAR attraction on the shores of Loch Lomond has announced it will close at the end of the month.

TreeZone Loch Lomond has decided to close its doors after nine years.

In a statement on social media, the attraction says it is with 'regret' that the high ropes adventure park will close from October 1.

In the post, the owners say the decision did not come lightly and cited their business growing 'too big' as a reason for closure.

It read: "Our adventure business has grown too big and complicated to run effectively and it is time to let this part of it go, to refocus on our operations elsewhere.

"We understand the impact that this will have on our awesome team of instructors, who have done a brilliant job in running the course, and also, that there are many regular customers out there who will miss us too.

The post continues to pay tribute to their many achievements including their five star grade on Visit Scotland and thanks the support of their landlord - Loch Lomond National Park.

The ropes course and cabin are now up for sale with a for sale sign placed at the entrance to the facility.

Customers can still book up until the closing date and the business has confirmed TreeZone Aviemore is not closed.
