If you're a bit of an opera buff, there's a perfect opportunity to give your lungs a workout next weekend.
Helensburgh Oratorio Choir are hosting a "Come and Sing" on Saturday, September 14 from 10am to 5pm at Helensburgh Parish Church.
Music director Susannah Wapshott, who is also chorus director at Scottish Opera, will take singers through the rich world of some favourite opera choruses.
They include March of the Toreadors from Carmen (Bizet), Waltz Scene from Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky). Chorus of Scottish Refugees from Macbeth (Verdi) and Bell Chorus from Pagliacci (Leoncavallo).
Guest soloist baritone David Stout will join the choir with accompanist Duncan Williams.
The cost is £15 which includes use of the music, plus refreshments and home baking. All welcome.
There will be a short performance at the end of the afternoon in support of the Beatson Cancer Charity.
